Dr. Kianoosh Chaghamirza, the director of research affairs of Razi University said: “According to the ISC ranking system of 2021, Razi University was ranked 11th among the comprehensive universities in the country.” He stated in this regard that “the latest results of the ISC global ranking system have been published recently and Razi University has succeeded in being ranked 11th among the comprehensive universities of the country along with Bu Ali Sina and Semnan universities.”
Stating that the data of the ISC global ranking system has been collected from independent and valid global databases and the self-declaration of universities has no role in the results, Razi University Director of Research added: “ISC has examined 2300 universities this year, of which 51 Universities from Iran have succeeded in being included in this ranking system.”
Referring to the indicators of the ISC global ranking system in the study of world universities, Dr. Chaghamirza said: “In this ranking system, the research index with a weight of 60% has the largest share in the evaluation of universities. Education index 10%; Innovation weighs 15% and international activities 15%.” He also added: “The highest score of Razi University has been in the research index.” Razi University with a score of 58.9 is ranked 1517 in the world in the research index. Razi University is also ranked 1563 in the education index, 1701 in the international cooperation index and 2136 in the innovation index.”
Razi University Director of Research stated: “The condition for the presence of universities and research centers in the world in this ranking system is to have at least 850 documents in the WOS citation database in the three-year period from 2017 to 2019.” He finally mentioned, “Data and data have been collected and reviewed from two citation databases, INCITE and WOS, as well as from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).”
