Dr. Hossein Salar Amoli, Head of the Center for International Scientific Cooperation of the MSRT, in a specialized meeting to review academic scientific cooperation, with a specific focus to the Iran-China 25-year cooperation program, said: ”considering the rising discussion and development of scientific cooperation between Iran and China, as well as the establishment of monitoring mechanisms based on the provisions of the agreement, we pursued the issue of development of scientific cooperation between two countries.”
Referring to China’s capacities and capabilities in the field of science and technology, he stated: “Appropriate investment in basic sciences, balance in the science and technology with pushing S&T Pull (short time of production and consumption of science), prominence in some disciplines and technology such as artificial intelligence, the ability to produce and supply laboratory equipment, workshops and related materials are among the items that should be considered in order to develop scientific cooperation.”
Acting Minister for International Scientific Cooperation also considered this cooperation important to invest in the region to rehabilitate the Silk Road, adding: “In this regard, special attention should be paid to the development of sea, rail and road routes.”
In the end, he referred to the significance of “the joint ventures for the construction of industrial and technology parks, as well as investments in new technologies and modern industries.”
