The Head of the Center for International Scientific Cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology met with Professor Somero, President of the ECOSF Scientific Foundation. The meeting took place on Saturday, 1st Aban, 1400 at the office of the Deputy Minister for International Affairs.
Expressing his interest in continuing the cooperation, Dr. Salar Amoli emphasized Iran’s readiness to host the Foundation’s Board of Trustees of ECO. Dr. Sumro stated that “we are aware at present it is not possible to transfer money to pay Iran’s membership fee to the Foundation. Notwithstanding, he added, the necessary support for the implementation of scientific programs in universities and centers such as the University of Tehran, Iran Research Organization for Science & Technology, Isfahan Science and Technology Town is possible to pay a part of the membership fee through the relevant ministry.
The head of the Center for International Scientific Cooperation welcomed the presence of the ECO Scientific Foundation in the Festival of Young Researchers in the field of education and considered the participation of the Scientific Foundation in the Belt Road program as a good move. Following Professor Sumro’s reference to Pakistan’s good relations and cooperation with China, Dr. Salar proposed networking with several Chinese universities in the field of seminars, postgraduate studies and study opportunities, which was approved by both parties.
